sportsella - since 2005
In October 2005, Marc Ritter created sportsella as a by-product of Creative Channel München. Marc has over 10 years of internet experience and 15 years in media sales and business development with companies such as Microsoft MSN, Yahoo!, Süddeutscher Verlag and CondŽ Nast. As a former marathon runner, Marc loves sports and has his roots in Garmisch. He is enthusiastic about the possibilities technology offers and how it has been successfully used by the IT-branch

Since October 2006
Gerd Bittl became a partner of Marc Ritter and together they are: sportsella Ritter & Bittl OHG with a new office in Tutzing, Starnberger See, Germany. Gerd Bittl grew up in the sports industry and has more than 25 years of experience within it - 12 years running the family sports business (6 years as managing director). Following this he started to build a big sport-portal on the internet, offering sales advice and training in the sport industry,predominantly in sales commerce (administration/IT/organization). His roots: Munich. His sports: snowboarding, biking, trekking, wakeboarding and surfing.

sportsella - technical background
sportsella is based on the software and service of the Creative Channel, Unterföhring/München (www.creative-channel.info). Creative Channel was founded by the former Microsoft employee and entrepreneur Ralf Schäfer. At the moment Creative Channel has 12 IT- and training-professionals. Creative Channel is working with the IT and pharmaceutical branches and has portals within their own business scope (f. ex. www.creative-channel.info) or for various clients (f. ex. www.lexware-wissen.de). Creative Channel produces and operates training-portals all over Europe. A remarkable number of training sessions have been concluded successfully in the first three years of business: 350,000 (by October 2005).
